Journal Journal: konsole has no linux font... humm. README.linux.console

Think I'll keep a list of linux bugs in my journal, why not.

Tried to pick the nice linux font in konsole (kde), and I get this error.

-- Font `-misc-console-medium-r-normal--16-160-72-72-c-80-iso10646-1' notfound. Check README.linux.console for help.

no README.linux.console in gentoo. Google time..

Journal Journal: Conservative, Liberal and Libertarian... www.lp.org

Oh how this made me laugh, so true and to the point.

Conservative: Making a statue of the Virgin Mary out of rat dung is irreverent. People shouldn't be allowed to do it.

Liberal: Not only should we allow people to make statues of the Virgin Mary out of rat dung, but we should force everyone else to pay for it with thier taxes. Additionaly, anyone that criticizes such a statue is being "judgemental" and needs to be sent to mandatory sensitivity training.

Libertarian: Make all the rat dung statues of the Virgin Mary that you wish. Just don't expect me or anyone else to have to pay for it. Additionaly, don't impinge upon my freedom to call it what it is..... a piece of sh*t.

Journal Journal: True Republican concern, how I miss them

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidise it. - Ronald Reagan

Sad, This is how I thought of republicans, but it doesnt seem to be the truth anymore. Smaller government seems to be, Larger, More expensive, Tax everyone. You get what you pay for.

Journal Journal: Million Dollars....

Peter Gibbons: What would you do if you had a million dollars?
Lawrence: I'll tell you what I'd do, man, two chicks at the same time, man.
Peter Gibbons: That's it? If you had a million dollars, you'd do two chicks at the same time?
Lawrence: Damn straight. I always wanted to do that, man. And I think if I had a million dollars I could hook that up, cause chicks dig a dude with money.
Peter Gibbons: Well, not all chicks.
Lawrence: Well the kind of chicks that'd double up on me do.
Peter Gibbons: Good point.
Lawrence: What about you, what would you do?
Peter Gibbons: Besides two chicks at the same time?
Lawrence: Well yeah.
Peter Gibbons: Nothing.
Lawrence: Nothing, huh?
Peter Gibbons: I'd relax, sit on my ass all day, I would do nothing.
Lawrence: Well you don't need a million dollars to do nothing, man. Just take a look at my cousin, he's broke, don't do shit.

Journal Journal: Something to put in the journal...

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of uppers, downers, laughers, screamers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon. -Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
