I still have, but is no longer my daily, a self-built ASUS P7P55D + Core i5 750 which I also originally got that in 2009. I only replaced it around this time last year. It was getting a little slow to be fair, but by the end I was running with an SSD as the primary boot device, 8GB RAM, and I'd added a USB-3 card.
I still have every Raspberry Pi I've every purchased (think there's about 10 of those now!), and I have an original 2012 model B with 256MB RAM running PiHole... I have had to replace the original PSU though as they don't last. I suspect one of my Pi's will be my longest lasting machine in the end.
Oh, I do have a 2007 polycarbonate MacBook as TFA mentions... but mine, despite not being used much, has a dead battery (unsurprising I guess), and the stupid audio ports have switched to optical mode... so have a red light flashing out of them.
