I think you missed my point. Apparently the mods did too.

Sure that's what the law says, and what the constitution says, but that's not what trump believes and does. And so far practically no one is stopping him. During trump 1.0 I would have agreed with you and generally-speaking, his advisors reined him in and followed the law. Now those people are long gone and Trump does what he wants. As long as Congress and the supreme court doesn't do or say anything, he does as he pleases. Trump is most definitely treating this like a gift to him personally and will act accordingly.
You know it is possible, right? The plane is being donated to the "Trump National Library" not the US government. So yes it will de facto be trump's plane when he's done. Whether or not that's legal and constitutional is another story. But Trump hasn't let either concern him so far.
Nice try, though.
Yes of course. See, trump was right after all; other countries do pay the tariffs. But of course they aren't paying them to the US government. Nvidia is just padding their profits and enriching their already rich CEO. Cause you know that an obscene amount of profit isn't enough. It never is.
I learned a lot in college, but I've learned a heck of lot more since college from just life and experience. Actually I've learned more from some great youtube channels about a variety of topics, some CS-related, some not, than I did in many of my college courses. That's not the fault of the college courses, nor is it my fault.
Uni did teach me some vital skills, though. Like how to reason about complexity, and how algorithms work. I also learned vital skills of how to ask the right questions and how to actually learn. How to be properly skeptical. And I shouldn't forget a rudimentary understanding of statistics. Such an important topic when it comes to understanding the world. None of these things necessarily requires college learning, though. Many pick it up on their own.
As for the nitty gritty skills of coding, etc, let's be honest, most of what you learn in college CS classes is obsolete in a few short years. When I went to school no one dreamed of cluster orchestration with tools like kubernetes, etc. Those kinds of things were learned by those needing to use them for their jobs. When I got my degree, nearly my entire graduating class knew how to code long before they got to uni. CS wasn't about teaching programming languages; it was about teaching the principles and theories of computer science. I understand it's quite different now.
That's nice. Meanwhile it works fine here in Linux. Most modern desktop environments use it for doing administrative tasks. Very similar to macOS.
You still missed the point. If you want to edit the source and patch sudo-rs yourself, you've got to install all the rust dependencies. That was his point. Yet another development environment, along with the security issues that relying on third-party crates brings with it.
Whereas most of us already have the basic C compiler and includes installed by default.
Honestly this is one reason I have zero interest in downloading neat projects written in rust from github to try out on my computer.
Think he didn't quite make it that far actually. Ran for leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada and lost if I recall correctly. Then he went right back to the US where he's lived for years.
Canada dodged a bullet there when he ran for Prime Minister. He's quite something. Mr Wonderful I think he goes by.
It's not that change is scary. It's that change gets in the way of getting things done in my life and does not enhance it or my ability to get the work done. In fact the changes often make things harder to do, not easier.
I'm talking about "Material You." Have you used Android starting with 13? Apparently not. Sure you can customize the colors, as long as you like pastel. Your choice is pastel pink, pastel baby blue, pastel puke green, etc. Actual solid, fully saturated colors are gone, at least in the Google bits of the Android UI. Individual apps can use bright colors of course, yes. https://www.reddit.com/r/andro...
Wish I hadn't posted so I could mod this up.
Nice, but that is not what the OP was asking about.
Meh. The big distros have already deprecated sudo in favor of policykit (which has not yet been re-written in rust).
If those screenshots are anything to go by, this looks really awful. Reminds me of design cues from the 60s and 70s. Reminds me of a vintage car speedometer with the tall, skinny, rectangular fonts. People really want purple and pink widgets and difficult-to-read fonts? Will be interesting to see how long this lasts before the fad retreats and it starts looking out of date.
Hold on, I think I see some kids on my lawn that need to be yelled at...
Top Ten Things Overheard At The ANSI C Draft Committee Meetings: (7) Well, it's an excellent idea, but it would make the compilers too hard to write.
