Same here. In my role as IT and audio studio technical support I have found Perplexity to be amazing at helping me problem solve. Google's results are getting less and less relevant and it's not all that uncommon for Google search to still be bringing up results from as far back as 2008. 2008?? If you haven't tried Perplexity give it a shot. You will not be disappointed.

It's almost impossible to make audio gear now without being a huge company now. I remember reading an article about how the niche audio manufacturers are so high-priced because pretty much every aspect of tech in a receiver, media player, or anything in the AV world is attached to an IP license model and you would need to pay for 20+ patent licenses for a basic product. From Dolby 5.1, Atmos, DTS and a ton of other features, it's pretty much locked up with the huge corporations. I always thought consumer standards should always be open and not proprietary. Good for Dolby, bad for consumers.

They have to halt exports to all countries because the US will simply proxy their purchases from other countries. How do you think Russia is sustaining? Or Iran, or any other country the US alienates? The only solution is to get rid of Trump. Sooner or later the US will figure that out.

I pretty much only use Facebook for its marketplace and recently I have been met with a message saying nothing was found in your area, which is impossible. I am in Toronto and I searched for used PCs. I get this more and more. I guess they don’t like that I don’t contribute or that I don’t relent to the doom scroll.
