Comment Boycott (Score 1) 132

If there is one thing social media is good at, it's stirring people into a frenzy, and previous frenzies have worked to boycott companies that are deemed offensive. Hit a corporation in the money bags, and it'll adjust. Talk is cheap and politicians can be bought, but corporations fear loss of revenue more than anything else.

Comment Re:Transgender (Score 1) 542

It is not an obsession with someone else's genitalia but an aversion to join in the peer-pressured delusion.

No different than Rachel Dolezal claiming to be black. No matter how much she frizzes her hair or tans in a tanning bed, she is not nor will ever be black.

Reluctance or refusal to participate in someone else's delusion doesn't mean people are automatically -phobes.

We should all treat other people with respect, as we are all human beings. Just as transgender people should be respected for living their lives however they want, other people should be respected by allowing them to have their own thoughts without fear of reprisal.
